The Department of Transportation inspected the ongoing construction of the new Tacloban Airport, in Leyte. The improved air terminal has expanded from 2,142sqm to 33,498sqm and is scheduled for completion by February 2027.

The airport’s larger space will accommodate 1,600 passengers, up from 595. To ensure each passenger’s convenience, the number of check-in counters has also been increased from three to 22. Three boarding bridges have also been installed to make it easier for passengers to board and disembark from the plane.
