Transport company Green GSM has partnered with Philippine National Bank to support the operations and expansion of the former’s all-electric ride-hailing ecosystem in the country. PNB is providing a P2 billion credit facility to support Green GSM’s operational expansion and fleet growth.

The agreement is part of Green GSM’s strategy to develop supporting infrastructure for its electric mobility model. The company aims to continue expanding across major urban areas in the country, gradually building its sustainable, long-term ecosystem.

As part of the agreement, both Green GSM and PNB have implemented a digital account management and payment system for the transport company’s driver network. This means that account openings and activation times for drivers can be done much faster through PNB’s digitized platform.

Green GSM says its partnership with PNB reinforces the transport company’s long-term direction in the country, strengthening operating foundations, service standards, and driver support systems to maintain quality as operations expand.

“We appreciate Green GSM’s long-term development direction in the Philippines,” said PNB president and CEO Edwin Bautista. “Not only in advancing low-emission mobility, but also in the way the company is building an operating model with scalability and clear governance foundations.

“The transition toward sustainable transport will require ecosystems capable of supporting stable long-term growth, together with the financial and operational foundations needed to enable that expansion,” added Bautista.

“For Green GSM, developing an all-electric mobility model is not only about expanding the fleet, but also about building an operating system that is stable, standardized, and capable of sustainable long-term growth,” said Green GSM Philippines CEO Le Thi Thu Trang. “Our partnership with PNB will help strengthen the financial and operational foundations needed to enhance service quality and support Green GSM’s continued expansion in the Philippines.”
