Ford has been cooking with the Ranger MS-RT. If this is your first time hearing of the variant, it’s basically Ford’s limited-edition street truck made in collaboration with specialist brand MS-RT (M-Sport Road Technology). It was first launched in 2024 and has since sold in Thailand and across Europe.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition. It comes in black, has gold decals, and is spec’d with bronze-painted 21-inch alloys wrapped in Continental street tires. The truck retains the MS-RT bodykit, which includes motorsport-inspired bumpers with integrated diffusers, extended wheel arches, sculpted side skirts, a cab spoiler, and a ducktail spoiler on the tailgate.

Being a street truck, the MS-RT gets a 40mm drop compared to the standard Ranger. It also has firmer front dampers and a retuned rear suspension. Despite the lower stance, Ford still made sure customers could use the truck for utility. The towing capacity is rated at 3.5 tons, while payload capacity is one ton.

Inside, the Champion Edition retains the Ranger MS-RT’s premium cabin. This time, it opts for gold stitching on the racing seats, armrests, and leather steering wheel instead of blue. There are also gold floor mats and a ‘Champion Edition’ plaque on the center console.

As for the engine, this special edition comes with either a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 delivering 237hp and 600Nm of torque, or a plug-in hybrid 2.3-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder paired with a single electric motor cranking out 277hp and 697Nm. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
As of writing, the Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition will be limited to 500 units and will only be available in Europe. Of course, that doesn’t stop anyone from making their own MS-RT-inspired project using the turbodiesel V6 Ranger that Ford Philippines recently launched.
