This coming weekend, the Toyota Tamaraw will be present at several events to showcase a variety of its use cases. The Asian Food Expo (AFEX) and Philippine Building Construction Expo (PHILBEX) Cebu trade shows will both feature the Tamaraw in its traditional role as a commercial workhorse.
On the other hand, a more novel approach to the Tamaraw’s role will be featured at Purveyr Fair and the Diecast Car Collectors of the Philippines (DCPH) Grandparents’ Day Pit Stop. Besides the truck’s utility, these community events will also highlight the truck’s use as a canvas for creative expression.
At AFEX, the Toyota Tamaraw will be showcased in Utility Van, GL Dropside, Wing Van, and Refrigerator Van setups. These configurations are in line with the trade show’s focus on equipment and technology used in the food industry. The expo is scheduled to take place on September 9 to 12 at the World Trade Center.

As for PHILBEX Cebu, the regional event will bring together the local construction and architecture sector. The Tamaraw’s apperance here is natural, being a common choice as a workhorse in this industry. It will also be available for test drive in GL Dropside form. The event will run from September 10 to 13 at the IEC Convention Center Cebu.
However, Purveyr Fair, a two-day event primarily catering to the Filipino creative community, is a much different environment for the Tamaraw. Instead of being displayed as a typical business vehicle, the Tamaraw will be used as a DJ booth and pop-up flower shop to showcase its more novel side. The fair will take place at the World Trade Center Tent from September 12 to 13.
As for the DCPH Grandparents’ Day Pit Stop, the event will host die-cast car collectors of all generations. A Toyota Tamaraw will also be in attendance at the gathering. Toyota shares that the truck’s modular and customizable build has attracted the attention of the die-cast community, and the meet is a great opportunity to see it up close. The event will happen at Cash and Carry Makati from September 12 to 13.
