The 2027 Nissan Navara Pro PHEV has officially received homologation papers from the Land Transportation Office. The midsize pickup was previewed at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show, and with the recently acquired documents, it moves one step closer to being launched on our shores.
Marketed as the ‘Frontier Pro’ in other countries, the Navara Pro features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a single electric motor hooked to a 20kWh battery. It shares a platform with the Dongfeng Z9 and delivers over 400hp and 800Nm of torque.
Interestingly, while Nissan China lists the Navara Pro with a payload capacity of only 490kg, the LTO papers list this model’s net payload capacity at 865kg. Other notable capabilities and features include the 800mm wading depth and 248mm ground clearance, which could make this pickup an interesting option for off-road camping trips.

Speaking of camping, the Navara Pro has V2L ports for your appliances and other outdoor equipment. The pickup has a 4×4 system spec’d with front and rear differential locks, which Top Gear Philippines staff writer Billy Caluag put to the test on thick snow in China. Granted, you won’t need to drive this vehicle on ice here in the Philippines, but it’s good to know it can hold its own on slippery terrain when taking it out cross-country.
Nissan Philippines has yet to announce the Navara Pro’s official launch date in the country, so we’ll have to wait for further announcements to confirm anything like variants or prices.
