The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) has released data for July 2026, and the Philippine automotive industry has begun showing signs of recovery following a tough first half of the year.

At 42,880 units (CAMPI sales plus sales estimates of other automotive brands) sold, July 2026 marks the highest monthly sales in the year so far. Looking at the bigger picture, the automotive industry has sold 241,725 units in total since the start of 2026, a 10.2% decline year-on-year. CAMPI president Jose Maria Atienza still remains optimistic that this month’s positive momentum will continue through the rest of the year.

Looking at the data for July 2026’s BEV sales, VinFast returns to the top of the ladder with 813 units sold. Geely took the number two spot at 509 units sold, and Omoda and Jaecoo rounds out the top three with its 428 units.

Jetour also continues to hold top spot in the PHEV leaderboard with 480 units moved in July, closely followed by MG’s 421 cars sold. Geely makes a reappearance here with 312 units to complete July’s top three.

As for HEVs, Toyota maintains a strong grip on number one with 1,709 hybrid sales—a wide gap with second place Ford’s 333 units. Omoda and Jaecoo show up once again to complete this top three with its 320 units.

Electrification maintains its momentum in the industry, with 38,286 xEVs (HEVs, PHEVs, and BEVs) sold since the start of the year. This now represents a whopping 136.4% increase over 2025’s figures, as well a significant chunk of the growth seen in the overall industry in July 2026.

As it stands, the Philippine automotive industry’s top five in 2026 remains the same: Toyota, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Ford, and Nissan. As always, these rankings don’t include BYD as the Chinese brand is not a CAMPI member. BYD has also historically opted to release its data at the end of the year. Still, if numbers from a recent report on ACMobility’s financials are accurate, BYD should actually be number three, cutting ahead of Suzuki and closing on Mitsubishi. Regardless, stay tuned as we continue to cover how the automotive industry shifts through the second half of 2026.
