Mazda and footwear brand Spingle have collaborated to make a bespoke shoe called the SP-MZD. These shoes were designed for driving while fusing the craftsmanship of the two Japanese brands.
This isn’t the first time Mazda and Spingle have gotten together. In 2025, they collaborated on the SP-MX5, inspired by the automaker’s roadster. Those shoes featured bold color variations and reflected the MX-5’s playful attitude.

These shoes are essentially the same model, but with a more mature appearance. They feature black wraparound soles that are excellent for driving, and a kangaroo-leather upper finished in either black or tan, matching the interior colors of the new Mazda CX-5. There’s also Mazda branding on the tongue, the upper, and the heel tab.

Like all Spingle models, these shoes are handcrafted by artisans in Hiroshima—the same prefecture where Mazda was founded. Spingle says the SP-MZD provides a supple fit, while its flowing lines resemble the body lines of Mazda cars.
As of writing, the SP-MZD doesn’t appear on Spingle’s website yet; however, you can still order a pair from Mazda’s official goods shop. For international orders (such as the Philippines), there’s a Buyee extension built into Mazda’s website to facilitate shipping. Both the black and tan colorways cost JPY26,500 (P10,269). Which color would you get? Let us know in the comments.
