The Metro Manila Subway Project is moving along as construction for the station at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 broke ground on September 16. With the subway’s southern terminus on the way, the public can expect the complete line to open between 2031 and 2032.

In anticipation of the new stop, the Department of Transportation released a series of renders of what the NAIA T3 Station could look like. From the photos shared, it looks like the main entrance and exit will be situated by the terminal’s open parking lot. With this, commuters will likely need to get out of the station and cross the driveway to get to the airport itself.

Inside the station, the designs of the concourse and the platforms look bare, though they have distinct patterns on their respective ceilings. As these are just renders, the fit and finishes are subject to change as construction goes along.

While the station and the overall subway are expected to open within the next six years, the department believes that as many as 70,000 commuters will use just the terminal link by 2035. Moreover, this particular ridership is expected to climb to 74,000 passengers in 2045.
