
This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed is shaping up to be one to remember, as Monster Energy athletes Lando Norris and Valentino Rossi have confirmed their attendance for next month. Both men have been named champions of their respective class: Norris is the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, while Rossi has seven MotoGP Championships to his name.
This meeting represents a crossover of talent across generations and disciplines at the motorsport celebration. The two champions will be present for a Goodwood Balcony Moment on Friday, July 10th to speak and celebrate with fans.

This occasion is also bound to be extra special for Norris, who looks up to Rossi as one of his racing heroes. Speaking on his upcoming attendance, he said: “Goodwood is always mega, it’s a proper celebration of motorsport. There’s an awesome atmosphere, so many fans, and sharing it with a legend like Valentino just makes it even cooler.”

On Rossi’s part, this is his first time back at the festival since his 2015 apperance. He comments: “Goodwood is something really special, a true celebration of motorsport in every form. Being at Festival of Speed, seeing so many passionate fans, and sharing the hill with incredible athletes like Lando Norris and John McGuinness makes it an unforgettable experience.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed this year will be held from July 9th to July 12th, 2026. While the champions’ attendance have been confirmed, there’s no word yet on the machines they’ll be driving up the hill. At his last appearance aver a decade ago, Rossi himself piloted historic racers like the Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B and a Lancia Delta S4 which raced in Group B.
