Is Ford PH launching a Platinum variant of the Territory Hybrid?

Well, what do we have here? The popular Ford Territory Hybrid might be getting a new variant as the Department of Energy (DOE) has just updated its database of recognized electric vehicles.

On the list is a curious Territory Hybrid Platinum, which could have a more premium package than the presently available Titanium X. The plot thickens as the database uses an image of a Titanium X model, but with parts of its front and rear highlighted. The wheels and roof have also been colored in.

The powertrain and output remain as is, with a 1.5-liter engine and a 1.83kWh battery listed. This all suggests that the Platinum variant could be an aesthetic overhaul, with updated styling and new wheels.

And because the Titanium X is already configured with a full suite of driving aids, there will likely be no software additions. The DOE has recognized this Platinum variant as a 2027 model, and so we should hear more about it later in the year.

At the time of writing, the Territory Hybrid has been in the local market for less than a year. It has quickly become a marquee product for Ford Philippines, as the brand sold 1,645 units in 2025.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the Blue Oval decided to bolster this lineup with new options to suit the tastes of more buyers. Currently, the crossover is offered in two variants, with prices starting at P1.399 million. How much would you pay for a more stylish-looking Territory Hybrid?
