Kia Philippines has confirmed that the next addition to its electric lineup will be the all-new EV5. It did say that the launch will happen in Q1, and Q1 is ending soon, so we expect that to happen sooner rather than later.
That said, we won’t have to wait until then to get a proper look at this upcoming electric vehicle. If you’re eager to see it up close—perhaps because you want to make the shift to EVs amid rising fuel prices—you’re in luck. It’ll once again be on display this weekend.

Another leg of the Kia Movement is happening from March 13 to 15 at the Alabang Town Center, and front and, er, center will be the all-new EV5. It’ll be on display alongside other models in the lineup such as the Carnival and Sorento, both of which are available as hybrids—something that could also come in handy as oil prices continue to soar.

Kia Philippines will also be handing out on-site discounts during the event. The diesel Carnival SX can be had at P270,000 off, while the Sorento Turbo Hybrid is being offered with P50,000 to P100,000 price cuts. The brand will also start accepting early reservations for the EV5 this weekend, albeit final prices have yet to be announced.
“The presence of the EV5 preview at Alabang Town Center marks a bold new chapter in our push toward an electrified future, building on the premium innovation established by the EV9,” said Kia Philippines managing director Jay Lopez. “It reinforces our commitment to delivering stylish, purposeful, and capable electric vehicles that integrate seamlessly into the Filipino lifestyle.”
So, will you be dropping by this weekend? If you end up doing so, tell us what you think of the all-new EV5. Rest assured, we’ll have more details—specifically on prices—as we have them.
