Last month, retro-inspired 4×4 brand iCaur announced its intent to enter the Philippine market in October with an initial lineup consisting of the fully electric V23 and the range-extended V27. These unapologetically boxy SUVs wear their design inspirations on their sleeve, but the brand didn’t share much in the way of official specs.
That said, these two models have recently appeared in the Department of Energy’s list of recognized EVs. It appears that both the V23 and the V27 will be offered in three variants: Classic, Premium, and Luxury (V23) or Flagship (V27).
The V23 is the smaller vehicle of the two, measuring 4,220mm long, 1,915mm wide, and 1,845mm tall. While you might be tempted to draw comparisons between this BEV and the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ based on size and looks, it actually has significantly different dimensions: almost 400mm shorter and around 50mm wider than the latest entry to the LC lineup.

While the DOE documents state three variants arriving in the Philippine market, other markets offer just two: a 2WD version and a 4WD version. The 2WD model offers 360km of NEDC range from its 59.93kWh battery, while its single motor churns 134hp and 180Nm of torque. The 4WD model upgrades to a bigger 81.8kWh battery, which offers 430km of NEDC range, and its twin motors combined make 208hp and 292Nm of torque.
The range-extended V27, meanwhile, competes in the popular full-size, off-road-capable SUV segment. Measuring 5,045mm long, 1,976mm wide, and 1,894mm tall, it stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of the Denza B8 and the Jetour Gaia G700.
All trims save for the base have dual-motor all-wheel drive; total system power sits at 449hp and 505Nm of torque (248hp and 300Nm for the base variant). The V27 is equipped with either a 20.4kWh or 34.3kWh battery, good for 95km or 150km of electric-only range, respectively. This is then supported by a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine which serves as a generator.
