Australia’s Everest Wildtrak gets Ford’s 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 and full-time 4WD

Down Under, the Ford Everest Wildtrak will be getting an upgrade befitting of its name. To be released with just 1,000 units in May 2026, the special-edition Everest will finally feature Ford’s 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 and a full-time 4WD system.

This makes it one suspension upgrade away from being an SUV twin to the Ranger Super Duty. Buyers in Australia can also spec their Everest Wildtrak with a ‘Premium Towing Pack,’ which should improve its overall pulling capacity. While its final power output has yet to be released, we can expect around 207hp and 600Nm of torque.

The new Everest also gets cleaner styling, swapping the old chrome skid plate for a blacked-out finish. Inside, the cabin gets more Ignite Orange accents, with similarly colored stitching and Wildtrak badges on the seats. There is more orange behind the 20-inch alloy wheels, which are also shod in all-terrain tires.

With the ongoing energy crisis, it’s probably not the best time to purchase a brand-new diesel SUV. If Ford Philippines ever decides to bring this in, hopefully, fuel prices will be much more manageable by then.

With that, we shouldn’t expect this to come anytime soon. After all, Ford also released a 4WD variant of the current Everest Wildtrak in September 2025. That particular configuration, however, uses a part-time drivetrain and the more conservative 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel powertrain.
