Attention, cyclists and commuters in Alabang: The Department of Transportation has just inaugurated an end-of-trip bike facility and three new PUV stops around the district. These new structures are spread throughout Alabang and feature helpful equipment for all road users.
The new end-of-trip bike facility is located at the Alabang Public Market and can accommodate up to 48 parked two-wheelers. The solar-powered structure also offers an area for bike repair, showers, and lockers.
As for the additional PUV stops, these were erected at Alabang City Terminal, Sitio Masagana, and PNP Muntinlupa City Police Station. Each is outfitted with a spacious waiting area, seating, charging ports, and a map of the area’s cycling network. Like the bike facility, these new stops also have solar panels.

Moreover, the PUV stops are wheelchair-friendly, with ramps positioned near the sidewalk. There is also tactile paving along the walkways and by the bollards, and a list of emergency hotlines displayed behind the benches.
According to the project fact sheet, the end-of-trip bay should be able to serve 152 unique cyclists a day, while the three stops are expected to accommodate 11,000 commuters daily. The entire project cost was listed at P16.121 million.
