Honda Motorcycle Thailand has launched a limited-edition Super Cub 110. How limited? Only 500 units will be released. The special package takes inspiration from ‘Tokyo vibes in the ’80s,’ hence the name Super Cub Tokyo 80s Edition.
Through the years, the Super Cub has always worn that vintage look well, and this model takes it up a notch. Honda has given the Tokyo 80s Edition a yellow-and-white paint scheme, wire-spoke wheels, a chrome front carrier, and a brown-tinted windscreen. There are also retro-inspired graphics on the side panels and leg shield.
Honda also went ahead and designed matching riding gear for the motorcycle. The entire package comes with a cream-colored jacket with retro stripes, and a yellow half-face helmet with a matching tinted visor and Tokyo 80s Edition graphics.

The special edition is limited to cosmetics, so you’ll still get the same four-stroke single-cylinder 109cc engine found in the standard Super Cub 110. That engine is mated to a four-speed rotary semi-automatic gearbox and makes 8hp and 8.8Nm of torque. You won’t need extreme stopping power in a bike like this, so Honda has retained a single-disc brake up front and a drum brake in the rear. There’s no ABS, but it does get the Combined Braking System.
The Super Cub Tokyo 80s Edition is priced at THB54,000 (around P101,980) and as you could probably tell from the limited number of units, is exclusive to Thailand. How we wish we could get the Cub officially sold through Honda Philippines. For now, we’ll just have to admire it from afar.
