In case you missed it, the respective databases of the Department of Energy and the Land Transportation Office have published listings for an unfamiliar configuration of the Ford Territory Hybrid. It’s been labeled ‘Platinum,’ and if we follow the metal hierarchy, it should surpass the current top-of-the-line Titanium X variant.
And now, a non-hybrid Territory Platinum has been revealed after Ford Vietnam recently debuted the new crossover. Aside from its powertrain, its most striking features are the lettering on the hood that spells out Platinum and a slightly different wheel design.
Being a non-hybrid, the Platinum has no identifying decals on the side skirts, but admittedly, the crossover is much cleaner without them. However, general car buyers will likely need to look twice before differentiating the Platinum from other variants.

There are more significant changes on the inside, and that will likely justify the higher asking price. For starters, the seats have a new, distinct quilted pattern that looks to offer more support and has a Platinum emblem stitched on.
The sound system has also been upgraded from an eight-piece to a 10-speaker setup, but the 12.3-inch infotainment screen remains as is. The same goes for the knob gear shift and the rest of the center console.
While we’re expecting a hybrid version to enter the Philippines, this ICE Territory Platinum should give us a good idea of what could be offered.
