Looking for a spot to bike around the city for a dose of nature and history? Social enterprise Bambike now offers bike rentals and tours inside Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC).
The park now offers visitors the option to rent sustainable handcrafted bamboo bicycles and explore the area at their own pace. Tourists can also sign up for scheduled free guided bike tours on select dates to learn more about the park’s unique culture, heritage, and landmarks.
For now, Bambike rentals at QMC are available on Saturdays only, but daily bike rentals are reportedly in the works.
Bambike is best known for its popular eco-cycling tours and bike rentals in Intramuros. If you’re looking for a safe place to bike in Quezon City, QMC is also a great spot for leisurely cycling, being one of the few remaining open spaces and public parks in the city.

Often overlooked by tourists, this 27-hectare urban park sits in the middle of the 1.98-kilometer historic roundabout known as Elliptical Road.
While half of the park is currently undergoing development for the MRT-7 underground station, there are a few hidden bike-friendly gems worth exploring here. QMC is home to historic landmarks, cultural attractions, free museums, gardens, nostalgic restaurants, and al fresco cafes.
With new tourism developments in or near the park, including the Elevated Promenade, the brand-new QC Skate Park, the recently launched QC Explorer Passport, and an impounding lagoon in the works, the Bambike rentals offer another great reason to revisit the park.
Here’s what you need to know about the Bambike rentals and tours.
The Bambike Station is located at the Quezon Heritage House Social Hall. You can find this spot behind the Quezon Heritage House, one of the four free museums you can visit inside the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Operating hours are from 10am to 6pm.
As mentioned, Bambike rentals are only available on Saturdays (for now). Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming daily schedule.
Be sure to bring your QCitizen ID and student IDs if you plan to visit. Residents of Quezon City and students with valid IDs get special discounted rates.
Renters will be asked to fill out and sign a liability waiver. They’ll also need to deposit an ID and pay the rental fees before being issued a Bambike.
If you’re renting a bike to explore on your own, you can only ride around designated routes within the park. According to official rental guidelines posted, Bambike rental units may only be used within Quezon Memorial Circle during its official operating hours and will be subject to rental guidelines and safety protocols.
To ensure the safety of tourists, the use of Bambikes beyond the designated routes is only allowed if you participate in free guided tours or a paid tour.
Free guided Bambike tours will be up for grabs every first and third Saturday of the month. During these tours, you get to combine biking with museum visits and learn more about the park’s history, heritage, and cultural significance.
Take note that only the first 10 participants who complete all requirements will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
