Lynk & Co’s flagship PHEV SUV could be coming to the local market soon

After being unveiled last year, Lynk & Co’s largest-ever vehicle could be coming to the Philippine market. The flagship full-size SUV has appeared on the Department of Energy’s list of electric vehicles, albeit a bit light on information.

The Lynk & Co 900 is a large, boxy PHEV, much like other luxury offerings by Chinese brands. It officially measures in at 5,240mm long, 1,999mm wide, and 1,810mm tall. At this size, it outdoes even the Toyota Land Cruiser in terms of sheer physical presence, save for its height.

Other models in the Swedish-Chinese automaker’s lineup feature crest-like DRL modules on their front fascias. However, the 900 goes a different direction by integrating the lighting pattern as LED accent strips instead, for a more minimalist look.

The link provided on the Lynk & Co 900’s entry in the EV recognition list redirects to the brand’s Azerbaijan website, which itself does not offer a brochure. However, based on other info in the listing, we could get the Ultra variant with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The 900’s listed gross vehicle weight comes in at 3,345kg, which matches up with other references online for the 900’s specs.

The Ultra variant also comes with dual motors for all-wheel drive, with each electric motor making 235hp. In tandem with the turbocharged engine, this luxury SUV makes a staggering 724hp and 1,038Nm of torque. Along with the 52.4 kWh battery, this setup offers a combined CLTC range of 1,350km.

Lynk & Co has been fairly quiet compared to its contemporaries as of late—will bringing in the brand flagship inspire excitement around the brand? Let us know what you think of this (or the other models in its lineup) in the comments.
