On Saturday, May 9, 2026, toll collection on the full stretch of the Cavitex-C5 Link Expressway officially began. The updated fare matrix was originally scheduled to take effect on May 5, but the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) rescinded this order due to the ongoing energy crisis.
The agency explained that further discussions between itself, the tollway operator, and other involved parties were needed to determine if full collection was necessary. Part of the deliberations included safety and quality inspections on the newly opened Segment 3B, which connects the Taguig/C5 exit to Dr. A. Santos Avenue (Sucat Road). These were conducted by the PEA Tollway Corporation (PEATC), after which all parties were satisfied.
Together with tollway operator Cavitex Infrastructure, the PRA, and the PEATC announced that the full toll fees are officially in effect. Class 1 motorists traversing the entire C5 Link will need to pay P97, while those just driving between Taguig and Parañaque will be charged P59.

After opening on March 30, Segment 3B had remained toll-free until May 9. It accommodates around 9,000 motorists daily, cutting the drive between Taguig and Parañaque to just 15 minutes. Previously, that trip was said to take up to an hour and 30 minutes to complete.
