The Quezon City government has just inaugurated its first-ever skate park. Located at the Quezon Memorial Circle, the new competition-standard skate park spans 3,758sqm. This is what you can expect if you plan on doing a session there soon.
The park has both park-style and street-style features, with multiple rails, ledges, curbs, and two skating bowls. It’s a good spot for those who want to practice on competition-level grounds, similar to what you would find in the Olympics. The park is also beginner-friendly, offering lots of space to practice getting comfortable on the board.

To use the park, you’ll require a helmet. While elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards aren’t mandatory, wearing them would be a good idea. Proper skate etiquette should also be observed, such as taking turns (don’t ‘snake’ somebody else’s line), avoiding sitting on park features, and keeping the park clean.

Only skateboards and inline skates are allowed in the park. Bikes, scooters, and motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited. Spectators and non-skaters are allowed, but should stay in the spectators’ area.

For young girls who want to try skateboarding, the Quezon City government also has a beginner-friendly summer skate clinic for girls aged seven to 15. No walk-ins are allowed, though, so be sure to fill out a registration form if your child is interested in joining the program. The one-day clinic will be held on May 23.
“We want our young people to have safe, high-quality spaces where they can stay active, express themselves, develop their talents, and build meaningful connections with others,” said Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte. “This skate park is more than just a sports facility—it is a public space designed for community, creativity, and opportunity.”
Alongside the skate park, the Quezon City government opened lawn tennis courts, also located within the Quezon Memorial Circle. The park hours are from 5:00am to 10:00pm, daily. Will you be dropping by for a skate sesh soon?
